"Pay, not a lot of advancement into management"

Customer service (Former Employee) says

"I really appreciated my supervisor, she was so fair and caring, and concerned about her employee's, loved helping her and working working with her, that's all I really miss about Sunmart. Cons: Working with other woman that didn't respect our boss"

Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"The hourly pay is very low for the amount of work and clientele at that 24 hr truck stop location. No security whatsoever. Company was not willing to pay to have more than one employee on night shifts. Cons: Manage a store alone. Low wages. Poor management"

OFFICE ASSISTANT/ LEAD CASHEIR (Former Employee) says

"I would go in and count the register, sign in and help customers. I would help with the morning reports and stock any items that came in. I would also help with ordering items. Count money and help do reports"

Team Leader (Former Employee) says

"Typical work day included; opening store, prepping machines, calculate gas volumes, run registers, 6-8 hours on feet doing floor sales, interacting with representatives, and managing business accounts"

Deli clerk (Former Employee) says

"managers did not seem to care about their employees. There was training involved. You were told how to do something and expected to just jump right into working without being shown the right way to do something."

Deli Clerk (Former Employee) says

"As a single mother you will take any job to support your family, I have had a tough time keeping a job being a single mother and when I did not have the ability to get to work due to a flat tire they blew a gasket and i never went back Cons: sucky pay sucky boss"

Cashier (Current Employee) says

"Currently working there and the new manager isn't very helpful or fair with the employees. Chooses favorites and only makes some of us do the dirty work like trash etc. I wasn't trained well at all. They basically just expect you to know how to do everything and they have a really outdated cash register system. Half of the stuff in the store is not working properly including gas/deisel pumps. It's only a temporary job but so far it hasn't been a good experience. Wouldn't recommend anyone to work at that specific store unless it's your last resort. Cons: Management"

Cashiering/ Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"assisted customers. cashier. Custodial, other tasks as assigned.. Cons: N/a"

Deli Associate (Former Employee) says

"They were not willing to accommodate for me when I had difficulties working with coworkers in my department. I had to deal with the stress and criticism in my department or quit. So I found a different job."

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"one employ is often required to run both the retail register and the trucking register alone at peak busy times. the truck drivers are offten rude and managment does nothing to help in these situations. Cons: not getting paid enough to be harassed by customers on the daily"

Assistant Manager Trainee (Former Employee) says

"Nice enjoyable place to work.Learned alot more on my managment skills, CO WORKERS WERE VERY ENJOYABLE TO WORK WITH. Some areas of managment needs work.............."

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"If you're looking for a thankless job in which your supervisors are ridiculous and will purposefully not tell you what you need to know to do your job, down to training you!! Honestly, the employees (NOT the manager OR ast. manager) are saints! Cons: no breaks, bad management staff, impossible to please, low-ball pay"

Stocker (Former Employee) says

"The management did not care for the lower ranking individuals. They argued when time was needed off for the military. It was made so you work harder when you could've worked smarter and saved time."

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says

"The job comes first. They need you to pretty much live here. If you can't then they will cut your hours down to nothing. It was a great spot to work though."

Cashier, Bagger (Former Employee) says

"I was a cashier. A typical day was just to cashier and just stay up at the registers."

Cashier/Carry-out/Stocker (Former Employee) says

"It was a great first job for a high school student, was able to work around class schedule and extracurricular activities. Nothing great about it but nothing terrible. Cons: coworkers that have been there for a while were bossy."

Sales (Current Employee) says

"I like the fact that it was constantly busy and i met alot of people and had relations with many different people."

Cashier (Former Employee) says

"A typical day at work is showing up and punching in. You get a till and you go to a check stand. I cashiered my whole shift. It ranged from 4 hour shifts to 12 hour shifts. You receive one 15 minute break for 4,5,6, and 7 hour shifts. Anything above 7 you get one 30 minute break and a 15. I cashiered, did price checks, put away items on the shelves, helped customers find things, cleaned, bagged, and interacted with the customers. I learned teamwork, problem solving, and to ask for help when needed. My managers are all very nice and understanding. I've never gotten yelled at and if there is an emergency they will help you out. My co-workers are all very nice. They are all very diverse in age. The hardest part of the job is probably WIC checks and running the computer system. The most enjoyable part is interacting with all sorts of different people. Cons: Not enough breaks and cleaning bathrooms"

Gerente de Costos e Inventarios (Current Employee) says

"Es una empresa con potencial de Rápido crecimiento y con una estructura eficaz en proceso."

Cashier (Former Employee) says

"Great management that saw their employees as people and tried their best to respect them. The pay was not that good but for gas station work it was fine. Cons: Bad pay, sometimes inconsiderate coworkers"
